So one of my chicks came out but first at an end of the egg. It took a few days for this to fully happen but it did make it out. the chick however is very dry and crusty and isn't walking quite right. Its chirping and moving around. Will its feathers fluff out, do I need to wash it off or...

I'm a newby. My eggs are on day 23. I hear chirping but there is no visible movement of eggs and no sign of hatching yet. Is this normal? Thanks
