wow! I got 7 eggs from 6 hens between Tuesday and today. To be fair though, we live in the northwest (ie, not so much daylight), and only 2 are laying I think...they just started this week.
From what I've read, you can keep them together, but you have to keep the goats away from the chicken feed. Someone with more experience will chime in too though I'm sure.
