I was just watching a show on tv bout some bald eagles, and I was thinking. How cool would it be to have chickens that look like bald eagles!! Talk about American pride lol anyway just wondering if such a thing was out there already?
I had one drown in a waterer yesterday so their not that smart, but I would think the high protein feed wouldn't be good for the chick. I'm no turkey expert though.
I just hatched out 3 of 3 eggs with my FFA project. So pretty good hatch rate I though for first time hatching turkeys and with chickens at that, I was impressed lol. Anyway I had three and one drowned in the waterer and the other two are doing fine, but their toes are curled and they have a...
I got some chicks yesterday, and today I noticed that three of them are bring very unenergetic and acting sick. They seemed out yesterday, but today they kinda just sit there. Any clues on what and how to fix it?
Thanks for your reply. I plan on using cattle panels backed up for their strength and backing it up with chicken wire. All with a 2x4 frame for stability and mobility, but mine would be mainly stationary , or closer to water and the other coop.
Is it in your garage? Its three sided so I would have to suggest pulling it out and adding a fourth side and putting it out side with a run. If thats possible I don't know that's just what I'd do.
I agree , chicks mostly likely cant and won't get out, but adults will have no problem clearing it with motivation. I've had chickens fly over my 7' fence before, but you could clip the wings to prevent much flight, this makes it harder form them to get away from predators though. Just something...
Actually Welsummers can be sexed when chicks, but I forgot how lol. It has to do with the markings on their heads and some EE's look like welsummers when their chicks too.
