thanks you said about grit. should you start fedding them grit this young? im new at this so any help is appreciated

Hi i have some week old chicks and i foung some red worms in my backyard. i just wanted to make sure it was ok to feed it to them for a treat at this age.

Thx for the replies everyone the chicks are here and are about six days old now. they are growing very fast and seem to be doing fine there all being active.

well we bought the coop today its a 4x6 quaker we got it a lillte bigger. in the first post i made a mistake checked the order today and we only ordered six chicks so they should be nice and cumfy when there old enough to move out to thier coop

i thougt the cedar shavings were the ones that were toxic not the pine

the coop is 4x4 without the nest boxes they come out of the side but still now that i think of it it is cramped so some will be off to the sale

Hi my chicks will arive in a few days and for their brooder i am planning on bedding it with pine shavings covered by paper towles for the first 3 day untill they know what their food is then switching to just the shavings. does this sound alright?
