Is it normal for a duckling that's hatching to stink really bad? He even smelled bad after he was out of the egg? Now that he is fluffy and clean he doesn't stink......his name is stinky Billy

My baby is doing much better today! His name is stinky billy because he smelled so bad after he hatched...

It's all alone....I have 2 seven day old ducklings but I don't think I should put him in with them yet.....

Is it normal for a just hatched(12hrs) duckling to be very lethargic.....it has eaten a little and drank a little but then it just lays there like its dying.....it has gotten stronger and is able to walk but sometimes it just lays there.....is this normal.....is there anything I should be doing?

I have a hen with a bad leg. She doesn't want to walk on one leg...she just wants to lay there....I put her near water and food....I dont know what else to do....help please

all the birds slept on the roost last night....YAAAY

I put the babies in with the older chicks yesterday and they did well. They slept together in the coop and everything went smoothly....as far as I can see. The only thing I noticed is that when I went out this morning to let them out the babies weren't on the roost....the were sleeping together...

Great! Thanks everyone! I think ill put them together tomorrow. The older chickens free range during the day every day. I haven't let the younge.r ones free range yet because they haven't spent much time outside in the run, only in the coop and I'm afraid they will get lost or run away. Do pi...

Do ducks need grit like chickens?

I give my chicks yogurt mixed with feed as a treat, was wondering if that would be ok for my ducklings? What other foods would be ok for treats?
