With my first hatch, most of them took a full 24 hours to get from pip to zip. Many would pip and happily wait and rest there and then when ready would charge full steam ahead zipping themselves out Dont worry and just wait, they'll probably be just charging thier batteries for the big charge

Popped the new fuzzies into the broody-box and took a few pictures & left a couple of questionable eggs in the bator for a little more extra time That lonely wooden box just got a lot more intersting with 14 new residents This was my first time hatching and the first ones out pipped a day...

Went into lockdown yesterday and just noticed a growing pip in one of the bantam eggs before going to bed tonight , fingers crossed for somthing fluffy to watch for breakfast tommorrow

Aw!! looking at all those silkie chicks makes me really want to hatch some out in the future they are so beautiful! Day 9 and candled all 20 eggs and threw out one BR which was clear, all 19 others have little wriggly blobs in still

Ooh I'm looking forward to a december hatch too, borrowed an incubator from one of my mothers friends to try. First time incubating, fingers crossed. Got a mish-mash group in there 5 Barred rocks, 5 Mottled Pekin, 5 Silver Spangled Hamburg, 1 White Leghorn, 2 Barnevelda and 2 Buff Orphs...
