We incubated 16 eggs 8 were fertile at day 5. Day 22, 2 hatched and day 23 1 hatched. We are on day 25 and the other 5 have not piped yet. Should we be concerned? Is there a chance they will still hatch?

Looks to me like a young Welsummer. With the flash the neck feathers appear white, are they gold/yellow? If so, she is a Welsummer.

We have 73 chickens and after all this time would like to know the breed. Can someone tell us what breed of chicken this is? the rooster is one you see on a cornflakes box and hens have a red/gold body with golden neck/head. I tried to upload several photos, however the system wouldn't allow it!

I have heard of the sinks it's good method. You can keep eggs at room temperature for months and in a cool dry place coated with olive oil even longer. Personally I do not wash the egg in sake of keeping the bloom intact to protect the egg. We wash before use. Sure way to tell is if it...

Your absolutely right. The egg song is the conglomerate of clucking a hen makes before laying an egg . usually draws on another hen or two in on it as well
