I have never tried hatching eggs before and so for the last 4 days I just havn't collected my girls eggs thinking one would decided to come sit on them and make some chicks however nothing has happened and I was wondering is this common, should I wait longer, are my girls just not interested in...
I just picked up a few chickens that are in pretty bad shape they smell, are covered in poo and have feet issues which I am thinking may be lack of proper diet. what is a safe product to bath them with should they be vacinated with somthing before they go in with the other chickens or just...
I have a tom that has one and from what I have read I need to use a steal syringe and drain it. How the heck to I immobilize this giant bird long enough to drain a blister?

I live in Central Illinois so I don't think I will have any issues with not enough light. Our winters are moderate with a few bad times but those are short lived and we tend to have a good amount of son regardless of the season. I think once the roof is reshingled I will try it out.

this is our first time having chickens so its a learning experiance and I am wondering when its safe to move them outside. Right now the chicks are 4+ weeks old and their run and coup should be done (fingers crossed and prayers for good weather) by next week and right now the weather has been...
