I’ve never had that in my quail or chickens. I bought these from a hatchery and had a couple die from the same problems he was having. I’ll try the electrolytes and do all that you asked. He isn’t separated from the other chicks. I haven’t really thought of checking his poop.
I’ve had problems with this chick with balance and he was just fine and would get around okay, now he just drags himself across the ground. His legs cross over each other and he doesn’t seem to be able to get the hang of them. I don’t wanna have to put him down. Is there any way I can help him?
I posted about a baby a while back who seemed to be having balance issues. We couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, but he seemed just fine. Now, he can’t stand. His legs are crossed and he drags himself around. I don’t want to have to put him down. Is there a way I may help him?
I’m not too sure; I had my father buy them rather than myself so I’ll have to ask him in the morning. Our incubator may not be very good though... the thermometer on it reads a higher temperature than what’s inside. The chicks also hatched a day or two late.. could that be a problem?
I’m sure he’s eating, but I did notice he did have troubles walking the first few days and would be a like a turtle and couldn’t get up after he fell down. Like he didn’t have balance. A few others were like that too but didn’t make it.
