introducing new guineas to the flock?

Hello, I was wondering how everyone introduces new guineas to their flock. I have 7 guineas a little over a year old and I'm thinking about getting around 6 7-10 weeks old. Can I just put them in with my guineas? (Mine aren't free ranging right now.) Or do I have to separate them?

    questions about raising Guinea keets.

Thank you all. I think I will try out the baby pool idea :) do you keep them indoors or outside? I also have a little rabbit hutch that I might consider keeping them in once they start flying. They could easily escape my pen and I don't think a little chicken wire around the bottom of where I...

    Show off your Peas!

Would it cause problems if I were to get a hen next year or later on? I was originally hoping to just have one peahen and one peacock but ended up with three boys. Not that I'm complaining, I'm just as happy with all boys :)

    questions about raising Guinea keets.

The weirdest thing just happened, I brought my guineas some treats and one of the broody hens got off the the nest. I went inside afterwards for maybe 5-10 minutes and then went back out. Both guineas were on the nest again and one of the eggs marked to hatch on the 25th was just a strip of...

    questions about raising Guinea keets.

Hi all! Well, I have two broody guinea hens sitting on 14 marked eggs. (Plus some fresh ones but I do my best to collect those when my hen goes to eat. Not sure how I'm going to get them both off of the nest with two now though.) I left the eggs in ten days apart though, 7 at a time and the...

Guinea getting plucked by other guineas.

Got a hen saver in the mail today, had a rough time getting it on her but hopefully it'll work. Thanks again :) oh, and I found XL fits guineas. We started off trying a large but it covered just up to her bare area.

My boys are pretty camera shy so we put a trail camera up in their pen too. Looks like right behind their favorite branch was a hit :D Here's a few of the best ones we got: Caught out past bed time And my favorite Heres a few I got from today. I was just about to head out of their pen...

    Pied guineafowl

My extreme pied (or pinto as i've seen thats what you guys call your guineas with coloring like her.) Is really friendly, she used to walk all over my feet and hide between my legs or behind me when the other guineas would pick on her. Now she's got a buddy and you never see her apart from this...

Guinea getting plucked by other guineas.

One of my guineas are being plucked bare at the end of her back. I've looked around for people who have similar problems with their guineas but havent found anything. Should I just leave it be or is there anything I can do about it?

Those who need help in sexing peafowl

Im very inexperienced with peafowl but something about Thor rings male to me :) even though his pattern is smooth like a peahen, he seems like a he. Maybe from his face? I don't know if thay could have anything to do with gender though.. XD I also have a pea, lynas that i feel like is a she...

    peacock with bumblefoot?

It may be frost-bite. Im not sure. And I don't believe that could have been from something hot, mine don't free-range. Their perch is a two-by-four.
