    Thanks again for the advice. I do worry about it being too tight in the coop, especially during the winter, but right now they are rarely all in there at the same time except at night and there is ample space for them all to roost. When I say that that they are in the yard, I mean our backyard...

    Thanks a lot everyone. What are the odds of picking all pullets? The coop 36 sf and the run is twice that. They are out in the yard all day until they put themselves in for the night. Think it will be too tight with 12? I've read 3-4 sf per bird?
