Thanks Everyone! I figured he was a cockerel but thought I would ask anyway. My Barred Rocks ended up turning red like that at around 7-8 weeks and now lay wonderfully since they are older. I didn't know if it was due to that type of comb or barring gene that causes them to turn red faster...
I have a Dominique frizzle that is about six weeks old now and is becoming red on the comb. My barred rocks became red sooner than all the others so I am not sure on this little one. Any ideas?
A lot of them definitely have furry cheeks and only a few have feathered legs. After looking at the hatchery pictures, it seems a lot of them may be EE's. Thanks to everyone for the leads. It helped a big bunch!
