Ok so 19 chicks hatched! So with the 9 duckings already reported plus the 19 chicks my total was 28 of 35.

Ok so my ducks are out 9 hatched... chickens are pipping and starting to pop 3 out so far.

If they’re over 4 months old then it’s pretty safe to say they are hens, if under 4 months they could be either. I got my 3 khakis at almost 3 months of age and they all looks the same, brown all over. What turned out to be 2 drakes started getting darker heads before their bodies lightened up...

How old are they? The heads look darker than the rest and that’s how my drake looked at 3 months.

I have unsexed ducklings, they are fawn and white runners as well as the Cayuga/Runner mix. I’m in Citra. I’m facing the same problem, the Cayuga drake is the only one I have that doesn’t have a mate.

We have our ducks and chickens together and they do well as long as everyone knows their place in the pecking order. The ducks can be bullies at times so just watch them. And yes ducks are messy, the more water they have to play in the bigger the mess. I have a small kiddie pool, about 3 feet...

I’ve been trying to get a good picture of it but I’d have better luck catching water with a net. It appears to have the same coloring as Cayuga ducklings, maybe a bit more white running down towards the belly, ands stands like a runner.
