This is my pure black north Holland blue. I have 4 if this breed the rest are barred but Pingu here pictured below is a right little character 🤣 I would to see a white Holland I do hope they aren't extinct
This chicken as far as in aware is mixed breed but appears to have some Orpington in it. I was sure it was a male but after seeing how little it's comb and wattle is compared to other males the same age (6months) is making me question myself. Could anyone help?
This chicken is a mystery to me. I thought she was a North Holland blue as that is what all of the other eggs hatched to be but I just can't figure out what she is does anyone have any ideas.
I've been feeding watered down egg yolk over the past day as I was unsure what else to give and it is feeding well on it. I gave a few drops of honey water when I noticed he stopped opening his eyes. He's got pasty butt so I've been cleaning that, but currently he's very loudly cheaping away but...
I have a 4 day old chick who's not been eating and drinking on their own so I've been assisting with that. One moment they are chirping and sitting up then they go limp and unconscious for a minute or two. When awake the eyes are never open, could anyone help with what could be wrong and what to do.
Thank you for your reply! He passed away this morning, a little fighter but just not strong enough. Sadly this means I currently have one quail on its own as I've had no more hatch, he's very noisy crying out.
My quails hatched last night on day 21 alot later than due. One of them has a small bit of its yolk sac still outside its body. It's not huge only tiny and on its lower abdomen. I can't find anything about this being normal or what to do. Any help?
I checked them today and I happy to report that the eggs are alive during candling I could see alot of movement inside the eggs and lots of healthy veins.
Today is day 7 for my bantam eggs they are under a hen however when I got up this morning I found she had got off and abandoned them. They were cold to touch is it likely they are still viable to put back in heat or should I chuck them.
I'm currently incubating quails and it's day 13. One of my eggs is rocking and has been for some time now is this normal when there is still a good amount of time left
My mama hen is sitting on some eggs and the last two she's somehow cracked. ( It's not a pip) it's day 21 would it be okay to assist hatching and try help the little one? I'm worried it will dry up.
