ok what are cherry valley ducks? Im still very new to this. I was told these eggs are from pekin that were ordered from a large hatchery, the kind you order from a feed store.
Well the babies have made it to 6 weeks and are HUGE!!!!! they are still living in the house. How old do they have to be before they can go out to the coop? They each weigh about 5 lbs now and are eating reg duck food.
I had 5 duckling hatch over Christmas and wondering about their water. We have a water softener that we add salt to. We cant taste the salt and only trace amounts are there. Is this safe for the babies or should I continue to use bottled water?
I am new to peafowl and just wondering how old they should be before getting any color. My 2 chicks hatched Aug 26 and I notices about 4 weeks ago they were getting some color on there shoulders. Now they much more color right down to the wings, and head. Is this early for them?

Well good new!!!! The second egg hatched last night. They little guy looks tired but is getting to his feet and chirping. I have moved the other one to a brooder under a lamp to let the new one get his bearings. The older chick seemed to be picking at him a bit. I guess time will tell.
