Our city just past an ordinance allowing four laying hens. I was so happy until I found out that they were considered a part of the over all 4 pet limit. I cant get any because I have two cats and two dogs.
WE have to write a report on a local subculture. I thought it would be fun to do urban chickens.
I would like to interview, online of course, some of you who own chickens in town.

My mother, who seriously does not want me to get chickens, told me that a friend of hers has chickens and they have turned her yard into dirt scratching for bugs.

Second I don't know how I will feel when it comes to that point either. I always fall in love with my animals but we already have a zoo! With the limit of four hens I don't feel like I have a choice. I am doing this to help animals in the first place...
Since we can only have four chickens (I'm hoping since they haven't even passed that ordinance yet) I will need to be able to keep only egg laying chickens around.
