getting many more "dalmation" chicks with this spring's hatches. whereas i used to get only one or two spotted chicks out of a batch, i am now getting all spotted with only one or two without.
there are even a few birds who look like they may have blue paint spots instead of black.

hey all... i seem to have come across a paint gene in my easter/olive egger flock.
interestingly, the roosters show red shoulders just like the silkies in this thread, but throw little dalmation babies that grow into paint birds.

I agree, and forgot to mention that before posting. I am wondering if I accidentally made some paint easter/olive eggers.
