In reply to your ovaion to me- I don't use mine for egg collecting, but I saw a few people on the thread that do use baskets like mine to collect eggs.. My gram gave one to me and said she got it at a yard sale (with wooden eggs already in it) I liked it so I sat it on the table as a center piece! I just thought it was some basket that they used to make a while ago, but when I saw that vintage basket on the thread I thought well.. I wonder if mine is vintage too?
