  • I have an Akita/Husky mix, a gigantic goldfish (he was 13 cents at the store; I couldn't resist lol!), and a few other assorted fish. Then, of course, the five parakeets! The strange thing is, I never feel like I have that many animals.
Wow! That's really neat that you can keep rescues like that! Even though I know there are animals in need, I'm not really one to take them all in. If it was a dog or some kind of bird, or if it had no other place to go, I would. I'm glad there are some people that will! Indian Runners are awesome, and maybe there will be some in need of rescue haha! I love my Runner; she is the friendliest of the flock :).
Sorry I couldn't get back to you right away! I've been a little busy. Anyways, I guess I remember the chicken's names because I talk to them alot lol! Cool I hope you do get ducks! They're so much fun! I like them better than chickens :p. What breed do you like best (of ducks?)
Kashtin is a really cool name for a horse! Wow you guys had him for a long time! Hopefully he and the donkey live for many more years! Considering the fact that you were so caring for Mango, it does sound like you to have a rescued donkey! I hope he lives longer than most mammoth donkeys, too. It probably depends on the quality of their care. Do you have any other animals (not livestock:) ) ?
Aw, poor thing :(. That did make him special, though. :) There's definitely more to a chicken than just feathers!
Wow cool you have alot of variety for a smaller flock! .... And alot of variety in general! What kind of horse is it?
I have 2 RIRs (Pumpkin and Cookie), 4 RSLs (Jasmine, Penny, Sprinkles, and another one that I can't remember the name of :p), 2 EE cockerels (Benny and Oliver), 2 EE pullets (Daisy and Sally Ann), 1 BR cockerel (Henry), 2 Dom pullets (Buttons and Martha), 1 Jersey Giant pullet (Annie), 1 BO pullet (Harriet), and three whose breeds are as yet undetermined (Skittles, Snickers, and Speckles.) The guineas are Barney and Gretchen, and I also have five ducks (Liliuokalani, Adele, Puddles, Jesse, and Josephine.) I don't have any other livestock (yet, unless you can count the dog haha ;D), but I would absolutely LOVE a horse or a donkey and some goats someday!
Whoa! 21 years old! Is that old for a donkey? Have you had him/her for all those years?
:,( Poor lil guy. I'm sure he appreciated your kindness. You must have loved him alot to keep him inside through the winter. I know a few people that wouldn't have cared enough to do that. :(.
I just looked at his pictures on that thread. He was so cute! I love his curly feathers. Truly a special little guy.
    What breeds are your hens?
I'm kind of like that too, but because I feel sorry for the animal (like those pot belly pigs that everyone laughs at, poor things.) But I actually like the way guineas look, as well as some other strange looking animals. How did you have a featherless rooster? That's really neat!(Sorry this is a very dumb question, but) is that a breed or a mutation?
Whoa, 58! I suppose that's why people generally don't let the guineas hatch their own eggs? :)
Cool! Lavender guineas are so pretty! I've never heard of a dun dot brown guinea. Are they rare?
I have one pearl guinea and one pied. The pearl is a female and the pied is a male, so maybe I'll have more next year! I'm hoping the male will get along with the chickens, cause if he doesn't, I might have to get rid of him :(.
Do you think guineas are cute or ugly? Maybe I'm just weird, but I kinda like the way they look. I don't know that I would exactly call them cute, but they're cute in a funny looking way!
Wow! What's your favorite kind of bird? I really like conures, but they're kind of expensive! That's so cool that you have one! I'm not as much of a bird addict; I only have five parakeets, 18 chickens, 5 ducks, and 2 guineas. I mean, I guess I have some as far number goes, but I don't have that much variety!
Yup, that was the right place!
Cool! I love cockatiels, although I don't have one (yet.) Just parakeets for now! He's very cute! Is he bigger than that now?
