Hi! I really appreciate your information... I realized that I feed my small flock a 16% protein food with cracked corn and oyster shell but even as my Cochin is sitting here being hand-fed, she's picking out her choice morsels! I thought the expensive, local feed was the route to go: but I think not. Please remind me what you recommend, as I am going to buy some more today anyway!

Hi, I am very new to chicken owning. I had 4 original hens. I purchased 11 more chicks in August that I keep separately. Recently I had to put down one of the new ones when she could not walk. Today we notices that the lone rooster is now having trouble walking. I read a response you wrote on Mareks. I am afraid this is what is happening to us. Do you think I am going to lose everyone of my chickens?

That’s a pact Barbara!! My start is bad though as it was chucking it down yesterday & the wind is horrid today! Talk about being a fair weather rider LOL! I’m def going Saturday though with a friend & we have planned so that might be my start xxxxx
