Pros: Easy to use

Cons: Sometimes not easy to get the nail to drive into the post.

Have used many through the years. Cheap and easy to install.

IMHO these do not hold up well. They can also be a pain. Nails get bent, nail wont pull the inselator tight, breaks if you hit it with a hammer (of course) NOTE: I talk about this because many times there are "tight" places and its hard to nail. etc.

The better option is the round shank screw in types at TS. They come in various lengths and last forever. Drill a tap hole and it screws right in. Will not bend, etc. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...screw-in-ring-electric-fence-insulators?rfk=1
