Pros: Affordable, Vegetarian, Antibiotic-free
Love this food and so do my girls! Would never buy a different kind again.
We've experienced mold with Purina products, and never any issues with Naturewise.

They have enough varieties for everyone, and their Feather Fixer is also great for the molting ones.

Pellets are far better than crumbles, as they just make a mess otherwise. :)

Pros: Excellent Feed!
Cons: The bags are only 40 or 25 lbs in my area! 50 pounds please!
I LOVE my results from the Nutrena Naturewise feeds. I use the Chick Starters (Medicated and non-medicated) and Meatbird religiously for my laying chicks and Cornish X. I sometimes switch up for my layers with what my local feed store has in stock, but it is always Nutrena that I buy. My chickens are just so happy and healthy that I can't imagine feeding them anything else. Well besides the kitchen yummies, meal worms and garden goodies that they get too.

At my local feed store all you can buy is Nutrena, Purina, or some really expensive organic stuff that i forgot the name of. I have used both the Nutrena NatureWise Layer Feed and the Purina Layena Sunfresh recipe feed. I have found that the Layena makes their poop stink more than the Nutrena. Has anyone else had this problem?

My chickens poops doesn't stink except for when they do the cecal poops. My meat chicks poop doesn't really even stink with Nutrena even though most people complain of horrendous stink from their meaties. I've never used Purina and I don't plan on it. I'm just too happy with the Nutrena!

I can't find a retailer anywhere nearby that sells Nutrena, or Southern States or any brand I'd like to buy. Mine have to eat Layena or TSC brand.

I buy the all flock pellets and love them also I like the 40 lb bag easier to lift and carry for me
