The Olandsk Dwarf is small, colorful, and very social chickens. They are classified as a landrace and tend to be hard to find. They originate from Sweden on the island Oland and were made for the size, production, and their cold hardiness. They are around 7-8 ounces in size and are considered a true bantam breed. There is no standard for the breed in the United States as of yet, but there may be one in the future. Eggs can range from 65-125 US dollars and chicks can range from 15- 90 US dollars in pricing. Since they are a smaller breed, they are good with not a lot of space like most larger fowl breeds. They are very sweet and tend to not be flighty like other bantams.
