Oregon Gray turkey

Oregon Gray turkey has a white base color with charcoal on the body feather tips. Tail feathers...
Pros: heritage, lovely colors, great table and barnyard turkeys. White feather shafts make a cleanly dressed bird.
Cons: none to speak of
I have been breeding Oregon Gray and Dark Gray turkeys for a couple of years. Because they are a combination of color genes and not a bloodline, they appeared in my mixed flock by crossing a bronze with white and a Narragansett with gray. I have enough now to breed them and I like the way they dress clean with the white feather shafts. Mating Oregon Gray to Oregon Gray results in Oregon Gray, Dark Gray, and bronze based white. Mating Oregon Gray to bronze based White results in Oregon Grays and Whites.
