My turkey momma visited today. She appears to be down one baby sadly, but the remaining trio seem a little bigger.
Mine must be between nests, they haven’t been going through the latest batch as fast as I thought they would. 🤔
Looking at the squash plant it seems all the upcoming blossoms are male, or at least I’m not seeing any mini fruits behind any of them. 😕 Must be patient!
Trail of Tears beans are starting to bloom en masse. Peppers are still looking stressed and potato plants are probably harvestable if I can...
Oh wow, eleven year old seeds? How are the plants doing? Did you have to do anything special to keep them going? I’ve noticed plants from older seeds tend to be less robust.
Saw a bug on my squash and thought it was squash bug, panicked and squished it. Did some Googling afterwards and realized I got my pests switched around and it was actually a potato beetle. 🤪
I wasn’t going to enter, but lookit lookit how my squash is doing!

Entry #1:
Squash bloom. It was a seed library seed, and the packet said it was ‘2000 Year Old Squash’ (a little digging brought up the name ‘Gete Okosomin’) donated by the local indigenous museum. Of the five or so I...
I’ve heard jewelweed helps for poison ivy, but I don’t know if it would help if you’re allergic. 🤷♀️
There was me thinking the top ones were Iroquois Cornbread beans. 😅
I rented a truck from Home Depot to transport mine; warn your hubby if you use a box truck (there weren’t any rentable...

God is watering my garden today so there isn’t much for me to do, but the dill is finally bolting as is some of the catnip.
I also put some onion trimmings in the fridge, currently arguing with myself if they should go in the freezer instead since I have no current plans for them.
No, this one was still alive when I found it, and it peed itself so now the garden box smells. 🤮 Luckily we have lots of rain in the forecast, and the netting survived well enough to continue doing its job without me having to handle it, but it would be nice if the little menaces just stayed out...
Welp, I can say with relative certainty the lemon peels didn’t work; I found another chipmunk that tried to hang itself in the garden netting today. 😮💨
I don’t know myself but I will ask some questions in case the information is helpful for someone who might know and be able to advise:
Where did you get them from?
What have you treated them with already?
What are you feeding them?
What are their living arrangements like?
Any other symptoms -...
