Open Contest Outdoor Garden Show—2025 BYC Summer Fair

We grew some red ones for a couple of years, but we have to dig out the bulbs in the fall. Last year we forgot until too late, and they were froze. I could get more on eBay or somewhere but rather not deal with it again. They are so beautiful though.

No, we have roses up here that come back, it's the phlox.

    Multiple Flock intros 😬

I'm not sure of your breed but these were all hatched together so all six you speak of lived together already? If so, I'd just try it as 9-10 weeks old is a bit young yet for any cockerel/pullet issues. We do it with silkies, so they're a little behind other breeds, but I still think it should...

5 weeks old chick can't walk

Maybe I didn't explain here, but yes. Cut everything out but the chick crumbles/chick mash, keep doing the B-Complex, and she should start improving. We just had one we nearly culled that took two weeks.

    Wheezing, green poop olive egger

I just dealt with a probable heat stroke chick about 12 weeks old. If this is it, mine took two days to finally eat/drink on her own. Rather like in a stupor, it seemed. The green poop was from emaciation. I gave her electrolytes, then made her crumbles into a mash with raw egg and a few...

    Injured leg

How old and what breed? Any other symptoms from any of them besides her limping? Is she laying eggs? What is her feed every day? I'd suspect possible vitamin deficiency, but need to know a bit more. Whether it's an unseen injury of muscles in her leg or foot, or a vitamin deficiency...

What to do with absurd amounts of fennel

I am jealous! We have to buy it up here. I use it solely for pre-boiling country-style pork ribs in. I put about 1/2 cup of fennel seed, a whole apple, whole onion, peppercorns, celery leaves, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, and seasoning salt along with the meat in a big pot. Fill with water...

    Are these eggs still good?

90F I wouldn't eat them but I wouldn't waste either. I'd scramble them up and give the chickens a treat!

Review by 'Debbie292d' in article 'Cure for curled feet, malformed feet and splay legs'

It's unique. There are simpler things to do that would be much less work. If this works for you, and people hate the other methods, then I suppose it could be usable by others. I say this as one who has vet wrapped, rubber banded, used tubes and chick chairs, etc., at least a couple of dozen...
