Turkeys
I dont know turkeys but Most mature male roosters won't even try to breed with an immature pullet. However, I have heard stories of pullets being killed by an over zealous cockerel so I'd be very careful and observant.- janiedoe

They are supposed to be 7 to 10 days old before being introduced. I've had a hen in the past take a 5 day old chick. I hope it works for you. Mereks disease. I have 3 types of mereks. About 3 years ago, I adopted 3 little hens for my frizzle cochin boy. He set in the box with her quite a bit today. I'm worn out from breaking all these bantam broodies. I hate that Hattie can't raise babies. I know she'd be a good mom. I do not want to take a chance on more chicks though. I've lost too many in the last few years.- janiedoe

He originally was penned with his 3 brothers. They all died within the last two years (mereks) so he was alone.
