Nice to see you back on . I was considering tagging you when peeps had indoor pigeon questions. But I seen that you were AWAL for a stretch of time.
What happened to your original pigeon,, the one in your Avatar?? And, do you still keep Quaker Parrots?
Welcome Back,,, Nice to see you...
If you have the list of ingredients,, and have them ready,,,, simply try your own formula. Whatever the ingredient ,,, just use equal parts of each ingredient by weight. Mix the seeds in a tub, by hand. Feed,,,, Then observe how the pigeons consume their seeds.
I know of pigeon fanciers...
You do have nice IDEAS,, BUT depending on your location,,, and how many chicken keepers are active within reasonable distance.
Consider collaborating with the group 2 towns over. It may grow into something GOOD :thumbsup
You can start a Facebook group in your area. I'm not a member of FB...
I only had a White Leghorn. That was quite a while ago.. She was medium to small frame size, but layed large eggs. :thumbsup . Got her from the Butcher. Took her home live of course.
Named her LUCKY. :love
Are the Brown and Silver same size as the White?? and what is the egg color of those...
Beans is a Basic food.:drool

Just inserting an observation from reading postings about Greenfire Farms.
I read many postings, but do not answer the majority. :old There are many peeps not happy with their Greenfire Farms orders. :he
I know Greenfire carries many breeds that few other...
Just keep doing what you are doing. warm up in your hands,, then feed and offer water,, and maybe she will start to thrive more. ❤️
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and:welcome
Let me offer you some opinion, although I don't have a solution.
There must be something wrong with the chickens to be laying multiple eggs in any given 25 hour time frame.
The second thing you did mention,,, is you find them layed overnight soft under the roost bar.
So let me explain...
Go with course concrete grade sand. Get from a supply yard, in bulk. Most of that sand is considered "washed" so you would get sand without fine dust particles.
Second option, though sometimes harder to locate, is "River Sand"
Don't get masonry sand, or tuck-pointing sand. Both those are...
Hawks are not likely the predators. Considering the amount of chickens missing, I suspect a pack of coyotes.
That is one of the dangers of free-ranging.
Also daytime predators,, do include coyotes, and fox. Some areas have feral dog packs as well.
So sorry to hear your loss,, :hugs...
Genetics can get quite tricky. When you combine mixed chickens with other mixed roosters,, you never know what you end up with.
Not that there is anything wrong with doing such.
I will follow this thread, and look forward to how your chicks develop, and look as adult chickens. And then...
Just my opinion.
Use a heavy duty corded drill.
Reason: That process does take a segment of time. A cordless, or even a lite duty electric ,,, the workload is too much for that small motor.
You may be replacing your drill sooner than expected.
Here is the idea.
Imagine hooking this pony to...
