Wow, you have been busy on the coops! I built a small solar furnace as you suggested and Wow, those things do work well. Thank you! We have also been busy building and growing our flock. If you know anyone who works at 3M, they can get you cardboard.

Diva is our first Lavender. He was born on January 30th, only one out of 8 eggs.
He is English [Hink JC] and American Lavender. He is finally very well built and tall.
Here he is at 7 Months.
Oddly enough, he isn't our best looking Lavender.

We currently have 7 Orpington Roos. 2 Lavender, 2 Blue, 1 Black, & 2 Young Buffs. As far as crowing I cannot say ours crow a lot. Just heard one of the Blues (5 Months) the other day and he wasn't very skilled at crowing as of yet. Still haven't heard the other Blue yet.
