Mostly hens. I’ve been hatching chicks for almost 2 years so I’ve hatched most of them. Only need pics of Rhode Island red, buff Orpington and light Sussex chicks. If you have any of the breeds mentioned please do send pics if possible. Thanks!
Hi everyone,
I hatch and supply day old chicks in the UK and am planning to launch my website in a month or so. I have space for chicks but not enough to grow them till their fully grown at POL.
If possible could anyone please send pics of their hens (and chicks for some) of these breeds to use...
Thats awful… it must have been really devastating for her ☹️. I really hope my boy recovers and no one else gets hit with a massive outbreak. It horrible
Yes, he is experiencing lethargy and some difficulty breathing and not eating much. He’ll have random small bursts of energy. I think he may have eaten a mushroom in our backyard. We had a similar case where a chick ate a couple of those and died the next day. Perhaps it’s that? He couldn’t have...
Nope, comb and wattles are still red. I would think that he and many others would be dead if it was bird flu though. I have no idea how he became this sick out of nowhere especially since no one else has the symptoms. Is there anything I can do to help him? Thanks
Hey everyone,
My Buff Orpington rooster suddenly got ill around 3 days ago. He was acting normal the night before and then became lethargic and decreasing in appetite. Now 3 days later, he has stopped eating and still acts lethargic but will still walk, move around, flap his wings etc… he also...
Hi everyone,
This is a chick that a customer bought from me. It recently developed a small bump on it’s head. It is a lavender Araucana. I attached the pics sent by the customer. Btw I don’t know why he’s strangling it. 😭 Please help, any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!!

Hi everyone,
Here is my 2 month old buff Orpington chick. I think it is a female but it’s wattles are small and red but the comb looks like one of a female’s? I’m stuck and don’t know what to determine the gender as. Opinions would be appreciated!! Thanks! :)
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if these Silkies are UK standard? Also are show quality UK standard Silkies meant to be bearded or non bearded? I am currently working on a breeding line and trying to get them as close to show quality as possible so I’m trying to breed desirable traits into my line...
Nope, but they do meet breed standard. Blue earlobes, 5 toes, blueish black skin, mulberry wattles and pure white colour. I'm not sure what went wrong because they hatched out 18 chicks this month as well and all have black feet. Silkies genetics are so difficult to understand so Im a bit lost
Hello everyone, I hatched out some White Silkie eggs and most of the chicks have light feet but have the black skin throughout their body, just not their feet? They have the walnut comb, 5 toes and the feathers on the last toe. I will attach some pics of the chick and the parent stock. Any help...

Hi all,
This chick was a sickly one from hatch. It's been a week or so since hatch and she can't eat or drink alone so we have to force feed her. We fed her yesterday in the evening around 6-7pm and left her in the brooder. It is now 10am the next day and she got a severely clogged vent from...
Hiya just for an update, the chick survived that stage. It absorbed the yolk and the area closed up. The chick was however very weak and a 1/4 the size of its batchmates. It could not eat, drink and had breathing issues. I gave it a week to try and catch up but no progress. I decided to cull it...
