You are not wrong woman! Once we get this pen expanded and some nest boxes added it'll triple as a perfect broody ward. It definitely makes things easier.
I don't remember if I mentioned it but Sansa has started laying again after telling the kids to go get a life😂 And yes those are eggs marked for a broody, I don't even think I need to say who it is, smdh
Thank you ma'am! My hubs has great carpentry skills, I just assist. It was so cute yesterday, he went in the run to start the inner framing and saw the 2 ermine chicks and said those are pretty birds🥰
Finally started the roof extension on the run, hubs knocked it out of the park in just a few hours! If the weather holds, we'll put the roof panels on tomorrow
Typical broody raised chicks, they are antisocial until way later. All of my keepers this year were broody raised, and they're pretty chill now. My roo is also broody raised and a very respectful good boy. Sooo, you're gonna have your hands full of goats🤣
There is always room for a good steak and wine! We had salmon last night because Saturday I put an 8lb pork butt in the crockpot and this is how out next 4 meals went:
Dinner-shredded pork, potatoes, carrots, onions, gravy and biscuits
Breakfast Sunday-Chopped pork hash (pork, potatoes, eggs...
I try and keep things healthy (most of the time😉). It's just me and the hubs, so this year I'm making a white lasagna (Alfredo instead of marinara) Cesar salad, asparagus, and garlic bread.
Dinner tonight- Salmon (seasoned with turmeric, ginger, mild curry, garlic and pepper)
Hash-Squash, kale, cherry tomatoes, brown rice, quinoa, bacon and garlic.
Hash dressed with a little feta
Salmon dressed with some fire honey
Side of avacado 😋
