New addition. Meet Luna. Rae, if I remember you have these guys, correct? Any info you can give is appreciated. We know she's smaller than average rabbits and we're wondering if she may be a dwarf. We think she's about 2 lbs.

Chicky, I've heard Tinsley say "WoOOw!!!!" simply because I gave him some scratch that they hadn't had in a while. He saves most of his crowing time for when DH is home, simply because DH has been a jerk. I swear he was informing Luci and Lizbeth of the plans for tomorrow, he was having a full...

If you go by the baseline of 1 inch of rain is the equivalent of 10 inches of snow, we would have had 4.58 feet of snow since January 1st.

When it does snow here I'm out at 2am shoveling and salting our driveway and our neighbor's driveway just below us. DH goes to work at 4am and it's just as easy to do the neighbor's while I'm out.

For all those with rain, I feel ya, but I'm not complaining. I'll take our year long mild weather over the rest of the country's any day. I don't have to worry about flooding in my immediate area, but there are a lot of rivers at flood stage. We've had maybe 2 days this year where it didn't rain...

Peach's favorite is DD#3's probiotics in blister packs. She leaves the blister pack alone after she's gotten all the probiotic capsules. It seems that the probiotics aren't necessarily bad, her poops have improved, but I don't know if it's solely from the probiotics or if it's a combo of that...

The crucifixion was Fred Walcher, who was Austrian. He crucified himself on 3-9-1945. Sorry Chicky, you got my curiosity going.

I definitely would say feed your septic monthly, or every other month, with RidX. I will swear by that stuff. You also need to see what else your tank will enjoy, i.e., what the bacteria in RidX does will with. Usually it'll be paper and sewage. Cut back on antibacterial soap, you don't want to...

We must be the oddballs. We have 6 people living in a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath on a septic tank. It took nearly 20 years before we had to have it pumped. It's the older system, but the only thing we were told was that grease and fat were not good. We use ridx on a fairly regular basis, but other than...

@Willowspirit If you watch, you will find that most people around Portland don't fuss too much about umbrellas and rain coats. The only reason for wearing more than a hoodie would be cooler temps. Up here we can pick most of the tourists out because they use umbrellas, and the majority of us...

Pacific Northwest is not revealing temps for fear of :smackIf you're dying to know, you'll have to look it up. And then just remember, I didn't say anything that includes a number followed by Fahrenheit or Celsius as an implied or stated part of the comment.

Chookie, I have to be, two of our dogs are service animals, and two of them are LGDs. Peach is both, being Anatolian Shepherd and service dog in training. LT is Anatolian Shepherd/Border Collie. Trixie is Chihuahua/Springer Spaniel, and is the other service dog. Bailey, as far as we can tell, is...

Ok, I posted the pics of the girls, so it's only fair to put LT and Bailey up. Bailey is a Chihuahua and total cuddle bug. He loves almost everyone, no matter how many legs. He and Trixie were adoptions. LT and Peach are from breeders.

I will keep my Pacific Northwest 40* with rain out of this conversation. The fluffy rain only lasted 2 days and was about an inch deep.

Another thing to remember is to ask if a dog is dog friendly before letting your dog approach, and if you're dog isn't, let others know in advance. I do that every time because our dog LT is dog aggressive, but sometimes doesn't act it until he is nose to nose. I have completed control of him...

We expect Peach to get about 115 lbs easy. She grows more slowly and won't be fully grown til sometime around 2-3 years. She's an Anatolian Shepherd, so she's gonna be a big girl. At the moment she's 60 lbs, and 7 months. For those who don't know, I'm training Peach to be a mobility assistance...

I think the Sasquatch hunters need to come out to my neck of the woods. I would think they would move West as their living space was invaded. The Rockie Mountains or Appalachians would be my other guesses.

You can always find a small 90 degree bracket at the hardware store, then wrap it in fleece, glue the fleece so it doesn't come off, and that is a rigid splint.

@21hens-incharge Do you think a drop foot splint would work? Basically it would go from the lower leg to the length of the foot, either on the top, but preferably on the bottom. It would be a 90 degree angle, and can easily be padded with a could layers of fleece. You can use very wrap and tape...
