Rehoming some or all hens and possibly rooster

Hey thanks for asking but I was able to re-home them pretty quickly to a couple wanting to get back into chickens with a good place already. Thanks though.

Rehoming some or all hens and possibly rooster

Hi I was able to re-home the whole flock to a great couple who had lots of room and was a better situation than what I had. I was so grateful it worked out. Thanks for offering though!

Rehoming some or all hens and possibly rooster

Hey thanks for checking in but I was able to re-home the whole flock to a super nice couple who had plenty of room for them to free range during the day. I was so happy to be able to send them to a better situation than I had them in currently. I am so grateful! Thanks again for offering.

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

Yes they are still available and I will be glad to call you this evening when off work. Do you have previous chicken experience? Not that I am concerned you wouldnt take care of them, but I want to be honest about the whole situation. I didn't have experience before these and I learned about the...

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

Posted this in rehoming thread and it was suggested I post in the GA thread also: I live in North GA on the GA/TN line. I am looking to re-home some or even all my flock if anyone is interested. They are just mixed backyard chickens, 7 hens and 1 rooster. The rooster is very easy going and I...

Rehoming some or all hens and possibly rooster

I live in North GA on the GA/TN line. I am looking to re-home some or even all my flock if anyone is interested. They are just mixed backyard chickens, 7 hens and 1 rooster. The rooster is very easy going and I hate to give him up really but I know he would probably be happier with the hens if...

    YO GEORGIANS! :)

I am in North GA on the TN line. I have 2 hens I would like to re-home and 2 cockerels. Is anyone interested in North GA? They are just mixed backyard chickens but the roosters are handsome and the hens lay regularly. Don't know the age of 1 hen but the second hen and cockerels are under a year...

Broody bunch and I don't want it....

I hope no one is offended but I have considered harvesting them to feed my family but I haven't done it before and I am afraid of wasting or not being humane. Although I do not care for the head hen who I feel the others are patterning after which is nature I know, I wouldn't want to be inhumane...

Broody bunch and I don't want it....

I wish I could give her away. I haven't been able to find anyone around my area who want mixed chickens even free 😞 but I always tell the truth about them. People here want breeds or TS chicks. I can't rehome roosters or even hens. Have y'all ever had hens who acted aggressively towards y'all...

Broody bunch and I don't want it....

All of my hens are from the head hen. She is just a mix. I basically just adopted her and her chicks. My mother took 4 hens for herself and she isn't having any problems. However I do have the mother hen who I have broken (or at least I thought I had) about 4 times now. The pecking order is hard...

Broody bunch and I don't want it....

I have a lot of broodiness going through my flock. I only have 7 hens but I am running at least 2 screeching and turkey acting hens off their eggs each week. It has affected all the hens at least once with only one exception. This may be dumb but I think my runt hen (who "goes broody" every time...

Is this poop bad/egg production down

I am wondering if this poop is something to worry about? I had a hen laying bad eggs and got some help here, told to give Tums and the hen does seem better. I have a drop in egg number and have seen this poop quite a bit. I think maybe the hen with bad eggs may not be laying. Don't care about...

    Egg laying problem is urgent

That's what I am seeing. Runny sometimes with little pellet looking bits, runny like white water sometimes. Makes me think of diarrhea.

    Egg laying problem is urgent

Would it cause poop issues as well? I've had poop in all different consistencies. I've researched and couldn't really find what I thought was a definitive reason. I've seen/heard mine sneeze but it seems like it's when they are at the food bowl mostly. I know they get food in their noses some. I...

    Egg laying problem is urgent

@Eggcessive Thank you for the video. It was very informative and I can see how it can be a shell gland problem for my hen. I've been giving her Tums as best as I can in different ways. She does seem to feel better, not sitting and she is now up moving around with the group and coming to take...

    Egg laying problem is urgent

The first 2 eggs looked similar, very soft and was ruptured. I'll put a pic. I found them on the ground. But today's was in the box. I buy flock raiser as I have cockerels too but I do provide oyster shell free choice. She was drinking water today but that's about it.

    Egg laying problem is urgent

Any idea what I can do for this pullet. Had deformed eggs for 3 days and I just figured out which one today as she started sitting a lot with eyes closed and finally saw her also poop very yellow poop.
