    Lethargic duckling

It was hard to get a good video but here are two of them. I have given her sav-a-chick. You can see her eyes just start closing and she almost looks like she's in a trance.

    Lethargic duckling

I have a 6 week old khaki Campbell duckling. 3 days ago I noticed she was not running around and playing with the other ducklings. I believe she is having mild seizures. Her eyes twitch and will close and then she pops out of it. I have given her niacin and charcoal. She had some molasses mixed...

    Fox attack

It was about 10 lbs. I was thinking it has a family because it definitely ate one of them right outside the pen and took off with the other 2.

    Fox attack

I had a fox take 3 of my ducks early this morning. Caught him coming back for round four and shot him. I have not had any predator issues in 2 years! He of course got my three favorite ducks. So devastating. My question is what are the odds he(it was a male I checked) has a family in the...

    Hurt leg

I don't have any drakes. How long do leg injurys typically take to heal? The only time she walks around is to get food

    Hurt leg

One of my ducks has been limping for close to a month now. When it first started I noticed she was missing her back toe nail. It never bled or anything. I keep checking her foot. There are no signs of bumblefoot or infection. She has been eating normally and continued to lay eggs until about 2...

    Missing ducks

I just went and checked across the street and all 6 of them were there casually swimming in what is not normally a pond but is right now. I can't believe it. What a bunch of jerks!!

    Missing ducks

It's mostly just seasonal for snow run off. It has been raining though. It flows across the street into the woods. There it just kind of collects into little swamps

    Missing ducks

In a neighborhood. They are Welsh harlequin ducks. There is a stream that runs the length of my property which is where they usually are, but I checked the length of it more than once. They've been gone all night now. Is it possible they got lost somehow?

    Missing ducks

All 6 of my ducks went missing today. I went out to try and find them because it was getting late and they don't usually wander far and I could not find any of them. Is it possible a predator got them all? I have had them for almost 2 years and have had zero predator issues. There was no trace...

    Duck Molting

5 of my 6 ducks molted at the end of August. The one that hadn't is now finally starting to. She is a few months older than the others. My question is it's getting cold out now, 30's during the day and down to the teens at night, should I be worrying about her being too cold?

    Missing eggs

So when I went to get the ducks back home today I found an egg! They must be waiting and laying them over there. I will try and wait til later in the day to let them out. Any tips on keeping them in my yard?

    Missing eggs

I let them out around 8:30 usually. That's about when I get up. I thought about maybe waiting until later in case they are laying them elsewhere, but as soon as they hear me up they start quacking like crazy! Maybe I will try and follow them tomorrow and see what happens.

    Missing eggs

I have 6 welsch harlequin female ducks. One is about a year old the other 5 are 9 months. This spring they started laying one egg a day each. Yay! Now I am only getting 2-3 a day. They were all just laying them in their pen and not caring too much about them, but then they started building a...

    Duck stopped laying

Thanks for the reply. That's kind of what I thought, but it never hurts to check. It's also been really cold so I'm assuming that has something to do with it as well. I'm sure once it warms up I'll be swimming in eggs!
