    Any Chance??

I'd love to! At the moment I'm super swamped with schoolwork, inktober, dance, and the drawing requests thread that I did. Once I'm free we can figure something out, though!

    Any Chance??

I'm imagining an older rooster teaching the younger ones that crowing gets them rewards XD

    Any Chance??

Personally, I LOVE the sound of a rooster crowing. It's not for everyone, though!

    Any Chance??

I'm sorry to say that most people on here do promote and encourage chicken math! I have quite a long list of breeds I'd like myself.

Are you even allowed to have roosters where you live? Some urban and suburban areas don't allow it.

That's how it goes! Next you'll be looking at hatchery websites and having your fingers twitch towards the 'order' button on that box of chicks!

Fertilized eggs are just normal eggs until someone/chicken incubates them. Perfectly edible.

    Any Chance??

Roosters are always rapey. That's just how they do their thing. They do get more polite about it as they mature, though. If you want to keep both of the roos, I would either separate them and give them a bachelor pad or I would get lots more hens. If you want to keep only one, I'd wait and...

Hens will lay the same number of eggs regardless of roos.

    Any Chance??

Sometimes birds just get big, as well. It all depends on the chicken!

IMO if you are going to keep the roos with the pullets, I would get more hens. However, if there is no issue that may not be necessary. If overmating is an issue you could get the hens some saddles. They may not like it though.

Rocks are dual purpose, so the hens and roos are quite large for butchering. I've never heard of a dominant chicken stunting the growth of the others.

I personally would free range them separately, but I am not an expert on the subject.

The cockerels will get along just fine on their own. My concern is also the females-if I were to have two roos I would have at least 20 girls. That doesn't apply to bachelor pads, obviously. Roos will fight over the hens, and females will get stressed and overmated.
