I dont think it is sprattle leg. He can walk pretty good at a very slow pace. But when he tries to go any faster he will fall and use his wings trying to stay up. He flops a lot before getting on his feet again. MIKE
I bought three bantams at the feed store. dont know the breed but one has very short legs making me think he is a japanese. He has trouble walking and standing. Otherwise he seems healthy. Any suggestions of what might be wrong?

I am looking for someone to share an order from Ideal pretty soon. I am located near Magnolia, Arkansas about 10 miles from Springhill, La. If anyone close is interested please let me know.
I bought some chicks from the feed store and I think they were cornish X but not for sure. I dressed on, fried it and it was tough. Tried boiling one and it was tough too. What makes them tough? I think they were about 14 or 16 weeks.
Hello everybody. Im from Magnolia way down South. Just started with chickens. My mama used to have chickens when I was a kid. Forgot how much fun they are to raise and not much trouble either.
I think you all are right. I remember reading this somewhere but couldnt remember where. Thanks a lot. I had planned to start dressing them tomorrow. Just wanted to be sure it wasnt something else. I dont have a way to send pictures yet.
I bought some chicks from feed store and now they are eating size but are developing trouble walking. They seem healthy otherwise. Dont know what breed but are solid white and long legged. Could it be the breed? Maybe they are commercial breed and have this trait.
