Yes I think so too, they sleep with the dogs around but if a dog walks up and sniffs them the geese try to bite, sometimes jumping up really fast trying to get them. This is 2 of them, they are white Chinese cross brown chinese

That's the thing, my dogs never ran away from the goslings or around them for that matter and would be lying on the ground and the week old goslings would go out of their way to run up to them and bite them, only then would my dogs run away or walk away while still getting bit. Never seen it...

The air cell is suppose to be pipped into when they hatch. I'm new at hatching too so I don't know much but maybe the air cell was too small?

Yes that's why I was worried but I'm not as worried now they have externally pipped! I bought 6 and only one was a late quitter so that's pretty good odds :) will update with more pics when the others hatch

Sorry for the late reply been busy, the last little chick ended up passing away at 1 week from not eating and drinking I suppose, probably just wasn't suppose to hatch.

No all the yolk and blood vessels were absorbed. The other chick stopped trying to zip the egg and was trying to push itself through the hole I made and I was worried so I took some egg shell off and it managed to push itself out overnight

No, those two were just late. The other one stopped trying to get out of the egg and was trying to squeeze through the hole I made so I took more egg shell off and went to bed and overnight it managed to push itself out and is fine, I'll post a pic

I went to help the second chick and it's dead, it's head wasn't positioned under its wing and was bent funny and swollen, I feel like I could have prevented this if I helped get its head out this morning 😭

Hi, I've stopped misting them and the one with its beak out is starting to zip around the egg slowly but they other is still the same but it's barely moving now
