That’s a good point. I know a lot of times chicks linger there for 3 or 4 weeks. They might get too tall. Especially the ducklings and cornish crosses. They might have to pull the old troughs out after all.

Those look like great photos to me! Been there done that with the not getting the photo to show the shade correctly. But I’ve had a lot of eggs like your photos, so I can imagine what yours look like in real life. Even eggs from the same hen vary a little day to day. I’d say those are keepers...

I agree they look raccoon-like, and also that the hopping is not raccoon-like. Every time I’ve seen a raccoon, they are just shuffling along, kind of waddling. That’s why I thought about squirrel.

Skunk or squirrel, maybe? It’s funny how it jumps like that, so skunk is probably out.

I think your problem was raising the two new roosters separately from the main flock. If you would have integrated them as young chicks, and raised them alongside the older roosters, it would have been fine. But trying to bring in an adult rooster doesn’t work. As for why your two older...
