I want dark speckled olive eggs.
Picture not my eggs, but I want these so was told to breed both my Ameraucana & Easter Eggers Hens to my Marans Roosters then breed all Hens from this crossing back to Marans Roosters, keep breeding back till you achieve this color.
I have raised the Silverudds Blue Isbars since 2015 and this Breed has been very Docile for me. The Rooster's will fight for dominance like any other Breed, but very friendly to humans.
If you use the chart I posted it will show you if you have a blue Rooster x blue Hen you will get 50% chance...
Here's my Golden Laced Wyandotte
now 8-1/2 weeks old.
Red hasn't gotten darker or appear to be a cockerel.
She acts & stands like a Pullet, no cockerel behavior.
So Wyandotte Pullets can fool you into thinking you have a Male.
Will update with pictures when she gets older :thumbsup
I've been raising Silverudds since April 2015 and have lost several due to respiratory diseases.
This has helped me, I was told by another Silverudds Breeder to only hatch out and keep the healthy and active chicks that hatch.

Went to the Feed Store were I bought the Wyandotte and they still had about 25 of these all had white tipped feathers and most had combs turning pink.
Must came from low end hatchery stock or they bought straight-run and won't fess up.
They're still saying they are all pullets
Time will tell
It came from a local feed store
that just got in 50 of them from a hatchery all looking the same.
So I picked 1 each Wyandotte & Buff Orp.
The Buff Orps comb is still small and yellow so I know I got a pullet there.
I've raised Wyandotte's before and looked the same as day olds & they all...
Yes I will post an update.
I really don't need anymore Roosters was only adding some different pullets to later breed with my Marans, Ameraucana, Speckled Sussex , EE & CCL Roosters to create some fun projects.
Even though would be another fun color to mix with I'm at my limit for Roosters.
I'm very bummed after I bought 1 each Wyandotte and Buff Orpington Pullets at my local feed store.
The Wyandotte comb is already turning reddish, too young in my opinion.
I've raised many Gold-laced and Silver-laced Wyandotte's before but don't remember any getting a reddish comb and downward...
