Anybody know who this guy was?

Don’t hold me to it but it could be a white sport of the erminette breed.

You might be a “Southie” if...

I can’t say I’ve done any of these. I’m a southie ( honestly proud of it 😂) and it was 80 degrees here in Georgia, like 2 days ago.

    Look at what I got!

Well everyone I haven’t had the chance to get more pictures of the young boys yet. But I did snap a few of my big boy blue. I was told he was ameraucana but I’m thinking Easter egger. He is the daddy to all the chicks I have hatching out. He is a gentlemen to the lady’s.

Mixed color ameraucana or Easter egger.

true I mean either way there Easter eggers. I am curious how he got that coloring though. Maybe I should try messaging the original owners. I’ve got 2 5 month old pure ameraucana cockerels anyway so I’ve got the blue egg gene in my flock.

Maybe I’m seeing his leg color wrong. @The Moonshiner

Mixed color ameraucana or Easter egger.

I mean it doesn’t really matter what he is I geuss it’s just for Easter eggers. But I’m very curious. And if you could help me remember how the blue egg gene works. I know blue crossed to brown makes green of varying shades. And blue to white should produce blue I believe. But let’s say he was...

Mixed color ameraucana or Easter egger.

Blue Wheaton is a variety and they look identical down to the wing triangle.
  16. redrooster99

Mixed color ameraucana or Easter egger.

The main reason I want to know is because of the egg color genetics he has. I’m hoping he is pure for the blue egg gene.

Mixed color ameraucana or Easter egger.

Thank you he is a pretty boy.
  18. redrooster99

Mixed color ameraucana or Easter egger.

This is my main rooster for my Easter egger project. I think he looks like a blue Wheaton, but it appears he may have green legs instead of slate. If he is Easter egger what are his genetics? The people I got him from hatched him they said he was a pure ameraucana but he was a mix of two...

What did you do in the garden today?

I got my garden bottom plowed, and I was able to herror it a few times before it started raining bad here in Georgia but it looks as though it will not be getting finished anytime soon.
