Moki, my silver Ameracauna (or easter egger, not sure) laid her very first egg for me yesterday and followed up with an equally beautiful one today! The shells were thick, with a tough membrane, and the yolks were a vibrant yellow. They were delicious!!!
I gave her some treats as a thank you
I decided to bathe my 5 month old Silkie pullet because her vent feathers looked a little dirty. While bathing, I noticed a walnut-sized lump distancing from her bottom. To be clear, her vent is perfectly fine and she is pooping regularly. Poop is moderately well-informed with some urates.
