    she is trying to sleep in the same nesting box the other girl did. When i picked her up to move her to the roost she drops like a rock to the ground and sets there ;(. So I put her in chicken jail (dog crate). Feels so mean but it worked so great last time I don't want to screw around.

    When my little adventurous EE made it over the top I grabbed her and clipped her wing, I clipped all 9 so I hope that keeps them in.

    the coop is 5x7, the covered run is only 5x6. it is shady in the morning (when they want sun, it is mostly sunny all afternoon when they want shade).

    The idea of simply leaning, actually only one of the ladders was repositioned, slightly seemed like it wouldn't be enough to get the change but all 9 were on the roosts all night. so happy.

    eggs or hens? it was jogging through our yard for weeks at dusk...we happened to catch it sneaking into the pen. my husband chased it out with a shovel
