    patsy...make sure the incubators are elevated also...not flat on a surface....i have a couple of small 1" wide strips of wood under mine to elevate it. helps the air flow.... Lower the humidity in the hatcher.... have you tried to hatch without moving them to the LG?

    I have wanted to try pellet bedding...but after poking around a bag at TSC I decided against it....afraid it will break my silkie's foot feathers. I use flake for breeding pens, fine for show pens, and a mixture of the two for the babies.

The strongest will survive and keep the smaller weaker ones from eating...they will not thrive and will die.
