    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Thank you! They are from Dragonfly farm out of NC. I bought them as hatching eggs last year. None of them have gone through their 18 month molt yet, they won’t be a year old until March so I’m hoping the splash Roo will molt to a bit darker red. I’ll be playing with 3 breeding groups this year...

    Large bump on face

I have a Rooster, just under a year old, that had an upper respiratory infection about a month ago. He was treated with antibiotics for 2 weeks and it cleared up BUT he has a large knot on his face that won’t go away. Any ideas what it is and how to treat it?

    BLRW Cockrills

Good Morning, I am located in Orange Virginia. I have several BLRW Cockrills for sale. I would not use any of these boys personally for breeding to SOP for BLRW but they will make beautiful backyard protectors and eye candy for a backyard flock! I have 3 9 week old straight comb Blue BLRW, I...

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

All 3 splashes look to be Cockrills? Which do you think is a pullet? I’ve got to get better at identifying male from female with these birds!

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Alright, I don’t want to be a pain but I’ve got some people saying I have mostly pullets and I had someone on here say they’re all Cockrills. They are now almost 10 weeks old. Is there a way to tell for sure before they start laying eggs? I wasn’t planing on keeping splash Roos and I have...

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Hello all! So I’m looking for some of your expertise. I purchase 5 2 week old chicks 5 weeks ago from a breeder to try and better my breeding stock. I put them out today to start to acclimate them to the rest of my flock. Needless to say in broad daylight I am rethinking quite a few things such...

    Supposed to be a BLRW

Perfect! Thanks everyone! Bummer cause I don’t have any SLW and it would have been neat to add one to the flock but I just got rid of 1 Rooster today, which leaves me with 2 plus I have 5 straight run BLRW chicks and 26 BLRW eggs who should start hatching this evening :jumpy

    Supposed to be a BLRW

Thanks, your the second one who said that. They didn’t have any in the delivery so maybe she got mixed in with the blrw  I don’t have any slw, just my 4 adult blrw and 3 glw so as long as she is really a she I will probably just keep her for my laying flock to so I have one.:)

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

They sold BRLW last year and have had them one delivery so far this year. They do sell them, my local TSC received their chicks from Hoover’s Hatchery. I have 2 splash from the chicks that we purchased, 7 others are either black or blue, still not 100% sure, this one has white lacing though so...

    Supposed to be a BLRW

Ok, I need some help everyone. My husband went and got BLRW from TSC so we KNOW these are hatchery birds and will not come close to the standard everyone is working towards. We will sell them for pretty back yard laying hens and may keep a couple for ourselves to help replace some of our laying...
