    I'm sorry to for your loss:( As for the remaining hen, I know many disagree, but I think she will be fine by herself. Does she have a coop outside? How cold does it get? You may need to add some extra straw for her.

    I'm not sure about the swelling of the face, but those feathers and the crustiness makes me think she may have cutaneous form of Marek's. Let's tag in @azygous and @Eggcessive to see if they have any suggestions. I know you've been working on this for a while.

    It shouldn't be harmful to them. Even if you treat the lice/mites/Scaly Leg Mites with Ivermectin, housing needs to be cleaned out and treated as well. For housing use a Permethrin based poultry spray or dust and treat in 7 day intervals. I would still rub the legs with Vaseline to help...
