Hmm, then the best thing to do would be to spend a lot of time with it. You could try putting a mirror in it's brooder so it feels it has company....
He's lonely. Raising a single chick of any poultry is not a good idea, they are flock animals. I suggest getting him another chick for company.

Olive Eggers sometimes lay brown eggs. It's disappointing, but it happens.
Yep, the one on the right is a cockerel. He looks like an Easter Egger, so he won't get waddles or a standard comb.

If you are referring to Coturnix quail, no, they will not incubate the eggs. It's extremely rare, and they're usually lousy brooders anyway....
