Looks like a pullet to me also. The saddle feathers on EE's are so misleading. They might look pointy but when you look really close they are not....

I buy the 2-1 lb pack at sams too. Then have a small jar to keep some out and keep the rest in the freezer.

Sorry about your electricity. We get ice storms, wind storms, etc. here in Ok. Ever since we got a generator we haven't lost power.
Don't know if anyone has metioned this before. I keep my yeast in the freezer and get it out before hand to warm up.
