Happy Pony Sunday!!
Halga the Nigerian dwarf goat says hi. She broke her leg over the summer so now she hobbles around on three legs. She’s a happy girl though, and she uses her leg that she broke to help her run.
Surprisingly, I don’t like goats. I always loved them before we got three, but I...
I think they’re doing well. I went and gave Taffy medicine a little while ago. The barred rocks weren’t letting them in the coop, and the d’Uccles started chasing the rocks around. At least my chicks aren’t getting pushed around too much. Taffy has scabs under her eyes, and I’m not sure what...
One day, a pirate walked into a bar with a peg leg, a hook, and an eye patch. The bartender asks him, “How did you lose your leg?” The pirate responds, “I was sailing and a wave washed a shark aboard and the shark took me leg off.” The bartender says, “oh wow, how did you lose your hand?” The...
My friend and I were on the phone about two hours ago and I mentioned that we should. I think that once we finish our coop that we are building, we will. We’ll probably have a few keys made, instead of doing a password lock. One for me, her, our best friend who helps take care of the chicks if...
Alright, sounds good. I’m pretty sure my guinea hen became resistant to whatever medicine this is. The first time she got coccidiosis, the vet prescribed this and it worked great. The second time, it didn’t work at all and she passed away. I used it exactly as I was told too.
I’m not sure if I hate my chicks or my ag teacher. I think I’m leaning towards my ag teacher.
A student decided to put her two barred rock pullets in with my three chicks. Like, hello? Just not going to even ask if it’s okay?
My guess is that the student asked my ag teacher, and she said that...
Thank you! I am going to stick with the 5 day treatment of that really long word that I am not going to attempt to type out.
Taffy has been taking it pretty well. She seems to like the banana taste.
It’s not confusing at all, and I really appreciate your advice and information.
It’ll be a few hours. Early afternoon, is my guess.
I could give it to her around 11am tomorrow, since I have been skipping my third block to go work on the chicken coop and play with the chickens. I’m not sure about tomorrow though, since the ag teacher whose class I’ve been going to won’t be...
Alright, I’ll finish the course.
Does she need to get it around the same time every day? I gave it to her at 7am today, and I’ll do the same tomorrow, but I won’t be able to Saturday and Sunday. I’ll be able to give it to her if I tell my parents she needs it, but it won’t be early.
Thank you! I’ll see what other people have to say, but reading what you’ve said, and most of the article, I will most likely finish the dosage. Should I put some in the water so that everyone else gets a little bit?
She took it pretty well this morning. I gave her 1ml.
I can get to her, I just won’t be able to get her Corid. I’m going to do what CB said, and then on Friday I will give her and everyone else fresh Corid.
That’s all we’ve fed them. They are still on medicated feed.
What else could be? I think that there’s a vet around here that I could talk them to, but I feel like I’m on crunched time.
Yeah, Mom and I decided to bring it to school, so I’ll probably give her that at around 7 this morning (one hour my time) or I’ll give it to her around 11 today.
No, she just noticed it yesterday and pointed it out.
My only problem with that is the banana paste says it’s expired. Mom said medicine can sometimes be used after its expiration date, but when we looked it up, it said it’s better to not use this. I’m not sure if she already threw it away or not.
All this stuff is stressing me out. They wouldn’t...
I have given chickens medicine orally before. It’s not an issue for me.
I wish I had noticed that she was sick sooner. She has been acting completely fine. I wouldn’t have noticed if my friend didn’t point it out earlier today.
