    Sick chick

    I just got 8 new chicks. And one of them seems to breathing harder than the others. I noticed this morning that her vent was cover and I took care to clean her off and inspected her vent which doesn't seem injured. These two problems may be unrelated. But her labored breathing has me concerned.

    So I have a secure coop that I lock my 6 girls up at night. And during a the day they are in a larger areas that is fenced in with a partial shade cover.     Sore on comb

    I noticed today that it seems one of my girls has a sore on her comb and on her waddle. It looks like a crusted over ulcer. I'm wondering if it could also be a wound from being pecked. But I haven't seem any of the other girls being aggressive with her. What can I do?

    New eggs. All over the coop

    I have six golden comets found one egg in the yard so I kept them in the run for most of yesterday. I've put golf ball in the nesting boxes with plenty of hay/wood chips.     Any guesses on breed. When just chicks they looked alike with minor light brown difference but most yellow buff balls of cuteness. Now they are 4 weeks. Still looking similar except one which is almost all brown.
