    young chicken stoped laying

    I have a younger black copper maran that started laying early summer. she hasn't laid an egg now for about three weeks. is this normal for young chickens or is there something I'm missing? she seems healthy eats and drinks is bright and active. could it just be this unbearable heat? thanks

    question- i have a flock of 4 hens and 3 roosters I was given a younger hen of a different breed,when I introduced her to the flock the roosters were aggressive toward her. I keep her in a seperate cage now and let her out during the day but if she gets close to the fence the roosters charge it...

    hi, just got some chickens- first time for me, my husband has had chickens before- we have 4 ameraucana hens, 3 (2 too many!!)ameraucana roosters and one black copper maran, she is the sweetest thing never thought of a chicken as a pet but this one loves to be with people!
